Natural Area in Dissen

eMission-X has secured a 540 m² natural area near Dissen in the Spreewald and is leaving it to nature. The region is characterized by a diverse mosaic of meadows, woodlands, wetlands, and bodies of water.

Even small plots of land can create additional space for nature—especially when they are permanently removed from commercial use.

That is precisely our goal in Dissen.

Natural Succession Instead of Management

We will not engage in any agricultural or forestry use on the site. Nor do we plan to perform regular maintenance or harvest timber.

Instead, we are largely leaving the area to its natural development. Wild herbs, shrubs, and other vegetation can develop and change through natural succession.

No major measures to kick-start the renaturation process are currently necessary on this site.

Permanent Space for Nature

The area remains the property of eMission-X and is intended to be permanently available to nature.

In doing so, we are also applying our rewilding principle to this small plot of land:

Buy land! Stop using it! Let nature take its course!
