New 1,999 m² plot of land purchased near Weischlitz, Saxony

eMission-X Purchases Land in the Former Village of Stöckigt—Part of Germany’s “Green Belt”

Sometimes nature rewrites history.

We at eMission-X have purchased a plot of land in the former settlement of Stöckigt near Weischlitz (Vogtlandkreis). A place that was completely demolished in the 1960s as part of the fortification of the inner-German border. For decades, the site remained inaccessible—a blank spot on the map.

Today, a wild, species-rich mixed deciduous forest of ash, birch, and sycamore maple grows here, which has developed solely through succession—that is, nature’s own process of reclaiming the land.

According to the Vogtland District Office of the Environment, the property lies within the future “Green Belt” National Natural Monument.
This unique lifeline stretches like an ecological scar across Germany—from the Vogtland to the Baltic Sea—and symbolizes change, freedom, and rewilding.

With the acquisition of this land, eMission-X is sending another strong signal in support of rewilding in Germany:
We buy land that was once used, destroyed, or abandoned—and return it to nature.
Without outside financing.
Without forestry or agricultural use.
With just one goal:
👉 Piece by piece, we’re buying back the land.

📍 Location: Weischlitz, Grobau district – former Stöckigt
settlement 🌱 Project: Green Belt / National Natural Monument (in preparation)
🏞️ Size: 1,999 m², of which approx. 1,300 m² is forest
🌿 Status: Renaturation area, part of the Green Belt ecological network
