Wusseken Renaturation Project—A Step Toward Rewilding
In October 2024, we at eMission-X launched an exciting restoration project—Rewilding Wusseken. Despite challenging weather conditions, we began fencing off an area to restore a natural habitat.
Fencing in the Rain
With a great deal of dedication and determination, we erected 240 meters of fencing, securing an area of 3,700 square meters. This rapid implementation exceeded our expectations and laid the foundation for the next steps in our restoration project in Wusseken.

Unexpected Challenges
Although we had planned to start planting trees the very next day, the warm weather threw a wrench in our plans. Conditions were not ideal for planting the new trees, so we had to adjust our plans for the time being.
This first phase of our restoration project in Wusseken highlights the flexibility required for rewilding. We are learning to work in harmony with nature and to adapt our plans to the circumstances at hand.
We’re moving forward
Stay tuned for more updates on this promising project!
