We are very pleased to announce that eMission-X gGmbH has officially been accepted as an Environmental Partner with 1% for the Planet!
This partnership helps us further expand our impact while engaging more companies in genuine, long-term environmental protection. Together with a global network of dedicated organizations, we are working to protect biodiversity, regenerate ecosystems, and permanently return land to nature.
The international network supports companies in taking responsibility and donating a portion of their revenue to verified environmental organizations. The initiative was founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard (founder of Patagonia) and Craig Mathews. Since then, members worldwide have donated hundreds of millions of dollars to environmental projects.
“The idea behind 1% for the Planet is to support these diverse environmental organizations so that, together, they can be a stronger force in solving global challenges,” says Yvon Chouinard, co-founder of the network.
For us, this partnership is an important step toward further scaling our work in the field of rewilding: We purchase land, remove it from commercial use, and thereby enable the long-term regeneration of ecosystems—without human intervention.
